Prior Experience

While pursuing his academic career, Alex gained invaluable experience through multiple internships.  He served an extended internship for a leading local public accounting firm in which he was an integral member of the firm’s Outsourcing Accounting Solutions team. In this capacity, he completed bookkeeping functions and prepared journal entries and bank reconciliations for clients in both for-profit and non-profit industries. He also oversaw bi-weekly payroll for a 50-employee client to ensure payroll was calculated and processed under critical deadlines. Most recently, he completed his tax internship for a local firm in which he prepared individual tax returns, reviewed engagement letters and completed bookkeeping functions including bank and account reconciliations, journalizing and bill payments.
