At a glance
Tom counsels clients across a wide variety of industries in their strategic planning and execution of divestiture transactions. His proactive approach aids clients in the complex and often lengthy process as they prepare to transition their businesses to new ownership.
Prior to joining Dopkins in 2024, Tom was a Senior Associate at Paramax Corporation, where he advised clients from a wide spectrum of industry sectors on M&A transactions. During his previous experience at M&T Bank as a Senior Quantitative Risk Analyst, Tom provided financial modeling expertise to the Commercial Bank to monitor credit risk and assess profitability of its tax credit investment portfolio.
At the beginning of his career Tom spent seven years teaching and conducting academic research as a faculty professor at the University of Michigan, Syracuse University, and Baruch College. Tom has taught over fifteen courses in mathematical finance, fixed income securities and regression analysis at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. As a researcher, Tom has six publications to date in peer-reviewed financial and mathematics journals.
