Presenting on Risk Assessment and Control to Nonprofit Agricultural Organization
BUFFALO, NY—Dopkins & Company, LLP announces that Partner Jay McWatters will present “Building a Process for Risk Assessment and Control” at the Northeast Cooperative Council Annual Meeting & Leaders Forum taking place Thursday, March 2nd. Mr. McWatters is a Partner in the firm’s Assurance Department. His experience includes the application of purchase accounting for acquisitions, due diligence assistance, cash management and financing programs. He has worked on a significant number of financing, acquisition and restructuring transactions in addition to leading the provision of audit compliance services. A significant portion of his practice has been concentrated in serving cooperative management and boards.

The Northeast Cooperative Council is a not-for-profit organization of agricultural and rural electric cooperatives, Farm Credit Associations, and their professional advisors doing business in New York, New England, and Pennsylvania. The Council was formed in 1949 as the New York State Council of Farmer Cooperatives. In 1991 the Council became the Northeast Cooperative Council to reflect its increasing service area.
