Thomas R. Emmerling Elected Chair of the Buffalo Niagara Partnership

BUFFALO, NY—Dopkins & Company, LLP announces that Thomas R. Emmerling, CPA, CFP, CGMA has recently been elected as Chair of the Buffalo Niagara Partnership Board of Directors. The Buffalo Niagara Partnership is the area’s regional chamber of commerce.

As Managing Partner of Dopkins & Company, LLP, and Managing Member of Dopkins Wealth Management, LLC, a registered investment advisor owned by the partners of Dopkins & Company, LLP, Mr. Emmerling has the overall responsibility for the operation and vision of each firm, working to continuously develop strategies to improve business processes and suites of services.

Capitalizing on his experience as a Certified Public Accountant, Certified Financial Planner, and Chartered Global Management Accountant, he helps clients solve complex financial issues, including business and personal financial planning, mergers and acquisitions and succession planning for family owned and privately held businesses.

A long-standing member of the Buffalo Niagara Partnership, Mr. Emmerling previously served a multi-year term as Board Treasurer. He is a graduate of Leadership Buffalo and is listed in Power 250 list of the region’s most influential business and community leaders published annually by Business First of Buffalo. Mr. Emmerling is a graduate of Canisius College (now known as Canisius University) and is a recipient of the University’s LaSalle Medal. The LaSalle Medal is presented at the undergraduate commencement ceremony to outstanding alumni who have made substantial contributions to advance the interests of the University.
