Internship Experience Summary
You will experience first-hand the life of an Associate in the Tax Advisory group at Dopkins & Company, LLP. The Associate’s role is one typically one of learning and applying technical skills and working as part of a team.
You will be actively involved in preparing income tax forms and consulting work in our offices— fear not, you’ll be under close supervision/coaching from our team. You will:
- Develop technical skills both on the job and through formal learning channels.
- Work as an effective Staff Accountant to complete project components and assignment tasks on budget.
- Build working relationships at peer level and seek to gain knowledge of client businesses.
- Identify task issues as well as task progress in a timely and organized manner and effectively document work.
- Builds strong team relationship skills.
- Gain an understanding of the Dopkins culture and how exactly we are different from other CPA firms.
Qualifications
- Currently completing degree in accounting
- Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills.
- Team player with a positive – ‘can do’ approach.
- Strong communication skills.
