June 18, 2026 – Tom Emmerling has been a long-standing and dedicated member of the Board of Directors of the Buffalo Niagara Partnership (BNP), Western New York’s regional chamber of commerce. In his current role as Board Chair, Tom has served a pivotal role in guiding the organization through a transformative period marked by growth, innovation, and renewed engagement with the Western New York business community.

From the opening of BNP’s state-of-the-art headquarters to its role as the leading voice of the region’s business community through executive leadership and advocacy, Tom has helped shape the organization’s continued success.

In today’s Buffalo News, Tom shares his perspective on an important leadership transition as BNP Executive Director Dottie Gallagher passes the torch to Grant Loomis. We join Tom and the broader business community in thanking Dottie for her thirteen years of outstanding service. Her leadership guided the Partnership through significant challenges and opportunities, including navigating New York State legislative issues, the COVID-19 pandemic, and a rapidly evolving economic landscape.

We extend our gratitude to Dottie for her remarkable contributions and wish Grant success as he leads the Buffalo Niagara Partnership into its next chapter.
